Mmm, seems unfair that this lower power, cheaper unit sports two power/bias meters whereas the ref 150 has none. Looks handsomer too.

It look like a nice piece. Will have to find out more about it. I guess we tend to focus on the biggest but with the right speakers, I bet this will sound great.

Well the reviewer did not seem to have any issues with the Sashas, which have that dip in impedance down to 1.8ohms at 86Hz and it stays below 4 ohms for most of the lower midrange and upper bass. Also, there is a combo of 3ohm and -43 degree phase angle at 60Hz which presents another tough load point. So you need an amplifier that can push through some current at these tough load points, which is usually a function of the power supply, which this one seems to be quite overbuilt. For most moderately sensitive speakers (88dB and up), 75wpc of output power should be more than plenty unless you are going to be listening at concert SPL levels.

I bet it would handle CR-1's with ease.
