You couldn't possibly be getting good sound with a Luxman/SF combo.
JK I personally love my Luxman 590/05 combo pushing my Harbeth 7's.

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody!
jdandy, I cannot swap the Auditors for Mementos because I'm sitting too close to the speakers (6 feet or even less). The GM stands are just too high. But the day I move to another appartment I will think about the GMs. So for now I'm looking for an amp that tops my L-505f. McIntosh? I'd gladly try a MA6900 but I would have to buy it used and there's no trying before buying with used gear. Anyone tried the combination MA6900 / Cremona Auditors? The MA6600 wouldn't fit on my rack (too deep) and the MA7000 would probably crush it (and destroy my back first). I was really having some serious fun with my L-505f over the last years. So the L-507u is a strong contender. Any insight on how it compares to MA6600 and ECI-5 MKII is highly appreciated. |
