Not that much, 30 hours now.
The KIP processing should allow it to eliminate much running in and get a good baseline even after a couple of hours possibly.. |

KPIP helps the first few days sound good but in my experience with all Shunyata KPIPed products I own and those I have tested, it does not obviate the need for traditional break in. You do get a good baseline faster but the cables do continue to mature and solidify their full benefits and personality 250 - 300+ hours.

I will give some more hours.
The V1, right off the bat, conveyed more musicality though, some areas wanting which the V2 clearly did makeup for those areas which i identified even then. |

Apologies in advance....I am a loyal customer of both brands and also test for both, I do not ever post such comparisons.

30 hours on big cords is not the final station, all aboard!
V2 is IMHO completely superior to V1 and I think you will enjoy the transition as time goes by. Also the v2 loom on digital IC’s and throughout the range will net you more from the abyss, more clarity and realness. Don’t sweat system changes after 30hours. Relax, take note and proceed systematically into the v2 loom. |
