Default BDA-2 Impact

After hearing the huge impact of the BDA-2 on my system at our second home on the coast of South Carolina, I ordered, from Ivan btw, another one. My gear in my den is two MS-750/300, two McIntosh 501's, and the MDA 1000 serving as a pre-amp. A few years ago, trying to improve my sound I purchased the MDA 1000, removing my C2200 pre-amp and using it to run my system in our exercise room. Last night I swapped the MDA 1000 with the C2200 and boom, never heard sound this good. Now the exercise room sound has dropped a lot. My experience with the MDA 1000 as a pre-amp and a DAC I would say is a failure and now I have a decision on whether to buy a pre- amp in the other room. I have ordered from 'the man' the BDP-2. I an use it to play the high res music & I hope somehow to figure how back up the MS-750/300. The day will come when the hard drive on these two blow up and I am screwed. It goes with our saying my experience is the BDA-2 is great gear and if you are in the market for a DAC, consider it.

I agree. I had a BDA1 and ordered the BDA2 with the idea of returning it if it was not much better. As soon as I played some music I realized it was a keeper. It isn't that the BDA1 is bad, but the BDA2 is just cleaner, for lack of a better word, and can play louder with less fatigue.
