Default New DB1
How do you suggest I connect my system to it? The cable I have laid from previous sub is coax.

What are you using it for, home theater or music? Why are you questioning connecting it via RCA? Or, if you have it, use the XLR. If its for home theater, connect via RCA to the LFE input.

Wondering if I should use a balanced cable or use the RCA thats already laid there. Would there be a difference. I'm new to this stuff. Stereo and HT. I don't know all the acronyms.

If you're using it for home theater, use the low frequency input (LFE) on the subwoofer from the subwoofer output of you receiver/preamp/processor. If you're using it in a 2 channel stereo (music oriented) system then it gets more complicated. More information on your system/use would be helpful.

It sounds like your trying to do both HT and Stereo, which is the primary use case and are you wanting to use the sub in both? Please provide the type of speakers you are using (full range?) and the preamp.

Yes - exactly. Use for both HT and audio. using mcintosh xrt1k's and mcintosh 1.2kws. no preamp - using mx151 HT processor for both HT and audio.

If you are going to use the crossover in the 151, you can connect the subwoofer output on the 151 to the DB1. The 151 should direct anything below the crossover to the subwoofer. Use the XLR connector. I'm not that familiar with the 151 but I'm sure someone with more experience will respond.
