Precisely.

The 802D or 800D would be my choice if I had the space and the amplification. Honestly though my dad has the N802 (small room) and the rabbit hole goes DEEP with those speakers. There is no limit to how good they can sound. Every upstream upgrade and tweak yields a massive improvement.
Indeed. Although some will insist that the 802/800 need plenty of room to breath, it's simply untrue they need that much room to reach their full potential. As long as some attention ( tweaking ) is paid to it, small spaces can sound better than big ones.

After listening to the 803D2 again with McIntosh C2500 and MC275 I agree and ordered the 803D2 last Wednesday.

sp8 - Congrats on the B&W 803 Diamonds! They are excellent speakers.

By the way - Did you get them at HiFi Buys?

I got them at hifi buys in Nashville, TN. Jon Paul called today to let me know that they are on the Fex Ex freight truck headed to me. Can't wait.

Ha, great place and people. I've been there a few times.

Again, congratulations! Please let us know when you get them unboxed and singing a song!
