I'm also always surprised by some of the name on those lists. There are quite a few that I've never heard of before.

While I “sort of” understand the rather limited demand but demand nonetheless for such products and the profit margins locked into those flagship products for manufacturers, I would have to say:

Nope, none of them for me either.

If I seriously considered an upgrade I would “maybe” spring for Wilson Alexx but would probably call it a day with Alexia-2 for my room. In fact even the Wilson Sabrina would be entertaining “enough” since it left me smiling during an extensive listening session and to me that is all that matters. What can I say? I’ve had nothing but great memories with all my Wilson speakers

In reality the rather modest by “audiophile measures”, Harbeth speakers I am currently enjoying give me all I am asking for which makes me feel I have shed the audiophile lust. If that changes and I catch the LuFlu and have the itch again, then it will be a Wilson dealer I would be headed for.

Those behemoths on the list are not exactly art I would be interested in displaying in my room not to mention I find the prices obscene.

You can't go wrong with a Wilson, IMO. I wish Ivan would pick up Wilson.

I don’t see how one can go wrong with the later versions of Wilson speakers. Even the earlier Watt-Puppies many enjoyed but the camp was more split then. I certainly enjoyed the “few” different pairs of Wilson speakers I owned. To my ears the dynamic contrast the Wilson speakers are able to convey is still a trait that a few other speakers can quite match.

I got a few minutes with an Acapella Audio Violoncello in person and it is hands down the cleanest sound I've ever heard. The ionic tweeter aside from being a technological marvel (it's easy to make one but hard to: a) get the crossover correct, b) not spew a bunch of ozone into the room, c) reduce the fire hazard) has a clarity unlike anything I've ever head before. If I have a larger place and $250k to throw around for a system built around these speakers, I wouldn't hesitate to bite the bullet.

You're being very charitable in that description. I was going to say that many of them are just flat out ugly and/or hideous looking. Not somethine you'd ever want to have in a room. At least, I wouldn't...
