Default Vintage Turntables - Beautiful

Just like to share - found a site that rebuilds Vintage Turntable (Garrads, Lenco, Technics) to beauties beyond recognition.

Well, a local audiophile recommend this to me and indeed this guy makes beauties. Take a look ... attache picture and website. Oh, first the disclaimer - I don't get anything from this and am not doing any propaganda/advertisement.

Just sharing what I feel something that's worth a look (and maybe collect, I do - and working on a Garrard 301/401 with Thomas Schick Tonearm - something to match the piano black Daniel Hertz combo - if ever I go that way.

I'll bet you will agree with me to say they ARE beauties once you have seen the pics.

The site is "Artisan Fidelity".

Cheers!

I've been looking at their work for months, excellent stuff, but hard to justify the prices IMO. It is amazing how much work they put into the tables, though.

No pun intended, but using Shindo's 301 as pricing yardstick, think they are that tad cheaper!

But looking at things this way, it will definitely matches ANY DECOR. STYLE OF EQUIPMENTS ...

Example, an all black glossy piano finished Meridian DSP8k, the same glossy 401 plinth matches to the hilt! Bingo, nice all-in-one look!

No idea Jerome.

But I suppose you can ask. I am planning to .... I'll share with you once I get the answers.

They frequently advertise on audiogon, or did. I don't follow it much anymore. My recollection was the price for some tables was in the 15,000 usd range.

I checked them out when I was rebuilding my 301. I thought they were a tad overpriced compared to some of the other high quality restorers out there.

I also like the original look of the 301 in cream/hammertone so wanted to preserve that.

I ended up going with Woodsong Audio for my rebuild and plinth. For those that might be interested, the Rebuilt Table and New Plinth that Chris Harban does truly is remarkable in sight and sound.

The Garrard 401 included in the pics that JSCC posted is my 401 that was restored and replinthed by Chris Thornton at Artisan Fidelity. Since that pic was taken I have had further improvements made by Artisan Fidelity. Specifically, I now have AF's inverted bearing, platter and armboard upgrades on my 401 and the improvements sonically (as well as aesthetically IMHO) are major. A completeness and enhanced refinement in overall presentation is the way I would describe the improvements. A full realization of what this platform is capable of, for sure! Please allow me to show-off!
