ARC REF250SE vs. GS150
Wondering if anyone has compared the ARC REF 250SEs with the GS150? I heard the GS 15O with the REF 6 and the Phono REF 3. Probably going to use some version of this ARC setup with B&W 802s.

Hi guys didn't know what LURK means. I looked it up and it sounds like I did something wrong. I've only posted a few times since I didn't feel like I really had something worth contributing. (Don't own any ARC gear presently). Thx

Oh, and fwiw, you can't do much better than the ref6 / ref phono 3 /gs150 combo. I've not compared with the 250's but unless you need gobs of power (you don't with your speakers ), the gs150 can dish out plenty. And it looks great with the other pieces Last edited by 2fastdriving; 08-28-2016 at 07:16 PM. |

Marc Thanks very much! Also appreciate your thoughts on the GS 150, etc. Seems to have gotten some very good reviews, and you're right....don't think I will need tons of power, the rooms is not huge (11ft x 14ft), and when I play things too loud I get hollered at.

I use a GS150 in a 12 x 19 X 7.5ft room and at very loud levels I barely move the needles with a 91db efficient loudspeaker. It is the best amplifier I ever owned.

The front end is a TechDas Air Force One Turntable/ Herron Audio phono pre and a Oppo 105/Bryston BDP-2/Bricasti M1 dac all into a Pass Labs XP-30 preamp.
The speakers are Eventus Audio Nebula. |
