IMO, the new Series 7 look terrible in itself and when they add that cheesy coin to the ugly terminated ends of SC's and PC's, IMO Platinums and other Series 6 cables just retained their value.

Happy New Year Folks,

Bob

+1 Bob, I thought the new look was odd at best.

I thought the speaker cables look like they may be a little easier to work with.

You are correct, one really has no relation with the other, I always just felt it would be a nice gesture seeing that Ivan runs such an amazing forum here and has laid the foundation for such a great community with common interests and passions.

I have bought several pieces of gear from Ivan. He has always given me excellent prices and service. I have also hit him up a few times for advice. It has been a win win for me. Just another added benefit of AA if you want to take advantage of it.

I don't care for the styling of the terminations of the Series 7 cables either--looks like WW is taking a step backwards in this area IMO.

Do you think the new look might be in response to fake Chinese WW cables beginning to enter the marketplace?

If you think a change of design will stop them you are sadly mistaken. There are probably fakes already being made. In fact my Crystal and Siltech distributor can not distinguish between the fakes now except by checking the serial number with the office in the Netherlands!

Fake Chinese WW cables? Are you serious? Wow. Good reason to ONLY buy new from a WW reseller.

Yes siree -- what is the sayin ' -- "when there is a will, there is a way". It applies to audio cables just as it does with copied redbooks, K2's, SACD's, re-stenciled tubes and CD/LP box sets, etc.
