Don't know if this is addressed to me or everyone, but in my case I needed to decide what the system would be before I bought any racks as far as their size and number of shelves go. I have a Gingko platform for my turntable, which I bought because the need emerged for something to counteract the floor suspension in my apartment. I had a VPI which, though heavy, was extremely vulnerable to footfalls because of the suspended floor; I don't think any rack could help that. Now that I have a SOTA with its legendary suspension system, perhaps I don't need the Gingko any longer, but I keep it anyway.
