Mac, welcome to AA! Thanks for your support. Now the fun begins! Hold onto your wallet. Chains work.

Hi Mac, Welcome to AA. Been through Bowie many times when we take RT 301 to RT 60 or 64 to Williamsburg or Chesapeake. Do you have a local hifi shop that you frequent in your area. I've been to JS Audio in Bethesda and they have some really nice gear.

Hi, Jack. I've been to JS Audio many times through the years but, with my keen affection for tube amps, I normally will go over to either Deja Vu or Command AV over in Northern VA. It's funny that you take RT 301 as I use the same route heading down to Virginia Beach or further south to visit family. Interstate 95 is a beast and life is short.

Mac - Your signature already looks great (you are like a seasoned AAer already). By the way, your equipment list shows a nicely put-together system. Nice.

Well, one does what one can. I actually upgraded my analog front end over the last eight months, including the phono stage. Next on the list, in no particular order, are a better pair of speakers and a new CDP. It's not that the ones I have are bad, but I know there are better. You know how the itch goes.

Sometimes we take RT 13 straight down into Chesapeake, VA as that is our over night spot when we're on our way to the Outer Banks. I'll have to check out Command AV and Deja Vu when I'm in the area. When we're headed farther south (Charleston, SC or Myrtle Beach) we take RT 301 to RT 295 and avoid Richmond. We do try to avoid RT 95 also.

So, thanks to all for your help and I hope I can do the same for others.
