Default Greetings from Vancouver

I'm new to the forum, but it certainly looks like a great place to learn. And I definitely need some learnin'. New to the forum and new to the interest. To this point in my life, most of my sports / hobbys have been outdoors and marine oriented. So I know next to nothing about audio equipment.

But boating season is now over - it'll rain (or snow) till at least June around here, and I have just been given some components. I would like to get this equipment operating again (been stored for many years) and enjoy it with the original owner. But he's busy, so it's up to me.

Here's the equipment list: (it all appears mint)

McIntosh MC 2500 Amp
McIntosh C 34V Audio / Video Controller
McIntosh 7007 CD
Linn Isobarik Speakers

Carver M-1.0 t Amp
Also 2 pieces of unidentified Niam equipment ( boxes not yet opened)

No cables or connections were supplied.

So, what to do??
Please don't get too techo yet.... Got some catching up to do. I'm definitely more
comfortable around engines than this stuff.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
Meanwhile I'll try to absorb as much as I can over the winter.

Fred

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Looking forward to spending quite a few evenings here and soaking up some know how...

One more trip upstairs to get the last speaker down to the Man Cave. Yes, it's a Man Cave now. Used to be my wife's workout room. This morning in fact. But she went out of town today. Boy is she in for a surprise! She'll be good with it. Uh huh....

Geez.... all this stuff is heavy.
