I have had my D7000 now for about a week. This is my first DSLR. I am a late convert from film, now that Kodachrome is R.I.P I thought it was time to take the plunge. I was shooting with a couple of Nikon FE bodies and a set of Nikon AI primes. Old school for sure.
This is a pretty amazing piece of technology. I'm using the Nikon 18-200 VR lens. I'm really impressed with the low light performance. Jérôme, i don't think this is an issue at all. I'll be getting a new prime for it, as the zoom is not as sharp as my 50mm Nikon AI, and this camera really shows it. That said, the 18-200 VR is a very good lens. I like it a lot. This beast has a pretty steep learning curve and a funky menu structure that will take some getting used to. Overall, I'm glad I made the switch to digital with this camera. It is compatible with my old lenses, which is a real plus.
