I had one of the original Hifi Tuning fuses for years in my LS25 mk2. I never had a problem with the fuse blowing. I left it in when I sold the unit. I was thinking about buying one of the Supreme version for my Ref 5se.

I use SR RED fuses in all my components except for ARC REF250. SR RED is much superior to HiFi-Tuning Supremes. According to Kal, after market fuses are higher quality but timing is different so it might not fully protect your component. If a component fails with after market fuses, I wonder if ARC will honor the warranty? |

All my components except for ARC, manufacturers encouraged me to experiment with different fuses and report the results. I spoke with Kevin Hayes, Dan Wright ... With EXPENSIVE components, I usually follow manufacturer suggestions. |

IMO risk is low using after market fuses but just want to share my conversation with Kal. LATER! |

What is the fuse spec for the Ref 5 SE. The back says T3.15A. Is that 3.15 A or 15A? I have no idea what the T stands for.

Thank you. Does that mean if I want to use a "HiFi" fuse I need to find a time delay one?
I guess T is the same as slow blow. |

dminches.......Absolutely, exact replacement rating. Yes, the term slow-blow is an acronym for time delay.
