Thanks so much guys. I’ve got some EL34 Winged C’s coming. I’ll pick up a pair of the KT77’s also down the road.

Like you said FloridaBoy, why bother with an adapter? I’ll just stick with the 80 tubes.

Does anybody have comparisons between the Pentode fire-bottle/Hot-rod VS Denis's new triode strapped fire-bottle/Hot-rod builds?

I have the Pentode, bought it right before Dennis started selling Triode strapped versions, curious to know the differences.

I’m in the same position except my amp has the 6DJ8 input. I would also love to hear comparisons from those who have heard both types.

My Inspire amp is triode. I also have a Triode Corp TR3488 a Japanese EL34/KT88 SEP amp. The triode inspire is sweeter for lack of better words and the SEP has a little more drive. Don't fret. Just enjoy what you have.

I've tried several similar off the radar tubes. None really worked for me long term. IMHO, you're better off experimenting with input tubes.

This is my FireBottle I built a few years back, I just finished a complete circuit overhaul this weekend and it sounds amazing. Running 6F6G's in Triode,
it puts out at least 1 watt, possibly more I haven't measured it.
Personally, I like both Pentode and Triode, I want to put switches on the back of this one for Pentode /Triode switching. straitwire

Dennis seems really taken by the 6F6G. I haven't heard this set up so I can't personally comment yet...

I know, I know...
I am looking for 7 pin tube sockets that will work with 0C2's
I found some NOS and some new ceramic, but not sure if the holes line up.
might have to buy them to find out.

0A2's would look sweet with EL84's on a slightly larger chassis with 4 tubes per
channel in a mono block layout. Glowing like a little candelabra!
