RLF, congrats on the purchase of your Strad's. I am sure you will throughly enjoy them as I do. They are keepers.

What color are you going with on these? The Red Violin is beautiful but they are all pretty special.

They will sound great if your listening position is in the 1.1-1.3 : 1 ratio of listening distance to speaker spread and you start with them toed in aimed at ~18” behind your head.
In a previous life, I would tell you that Strads are extremely picky if you want to hear what Franco envisioned. That said you appear to have found what works.

Getting back to you like Craig says post pictures
Thanks. I’ll post pictures once that I get them. It will be a couple of weeks or so.

I’ve heard strands twice, both times were at shows. As much as I love shows, the listening rooms are good at best, horrible at worst (with shitty choices of “select” music at that). In each case, I didn’t get much time in front of them. It was more of a tease to be honest. I’d love to get critic time in front of a pair. Sigh!

Congrats, sir! You’ve arrived.

Come on down to the Low Country of SC. There might be Habanos and Bourbon.

Craig,

Thanks for the invitation. I might just take you up on that some day.

A very good friend lives in NC and I need to get back (been nearly a year now). Plus, I’m literally watching a show on bourbon as I type this!
