Default High End Swiss 2010

Hello everyone,

just a brief note that the High End Swiss event opens on 22.10 (Friday next week) until 24.10.2010 at the Mövenpick Hotel Zürich-Regensdorf. Full details are available here: Highend Swiss

Should anyone be in the area and decide to come, I'd be happy to provide a personal listening session. A pair of our Athene amps will be available for demonstration. Specs of the Athene are available here: The Athene

See you there!

Thanks...

WOW!!! The Swiss really have it going on. Not sure about the sound, but they sure have the style, class, and beauty nailed!

Here's a glimpse of our *modest* display. Those looking for eye candy must have been a bit disappointed, especially about the cables, but the sound ..!
Funny thing: the speakers generated about as much raving as the amps. Might consider restarting their production.

Everyone appreciated the fact that we were playing "regular" music, and not the usual esoteric over-emphasized, in-your-face "audiophile" test tracks that try to stick needles and pins up your ears. Our selection included Prince, Gary Willis, Robben Ford, Dr. John, John Lee Hooker, Marcus Miller, Mike Oldfield, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles (Abbey Road), AC/DC, etc. Of course, we'd happily play whatever anyone had brought along, and it was fun to watch the long faces, produced by the unreal combination of compact speakers and huge sound. Lots of fun!

The last picture is of me and my partner, Russi, without whose faith and support all this would not have been possible. Thanks, Russi!

@two_dot: these are the speakers I use for critical listening, as discussed in another thread.
