To bad, Accuphase Class A gear goes very well with SF. I have a full Accuphase setup with my Franco Serblin Ktemas and they make them sing. I believe SF does very well with a warm sound you get from Accuphase or tubes. Of course this is my experience.

Have owned Stradivari and Memento for quite some time, although many years back.
Accuphase gives superb match, all Sonus Faber have a difficult electrical phase shift behaviour, and fare well with dominant amps. Somewhat smaller tube amps may sound very nice, but likely the big boys aka Mc 2301 or CAT JL2 will serve them better.

See if you could possibly get a loaner Accuphase somewhere to try it out.

I have now an opportunity to buy a fully services combination of Audio Research SP14 and D300. The latter should give 160 watt solid state power in 8 ohms.

Anyone any idea how they would match my Sf Guarneri Memento?

I can also move to Karan 180 MK1 integrated. I like the idea of some vintage flavour with the Arc's but I gues the Karan would do a nice job as well.

I bought the Karan! I think this is a match made in heaven. The Karan is almost tube like in transparancy with a hint of warmth. Besides it is comfortably in control. Bottom end improved enormously. The Karan is said to give 70% of its 180 watts in class A. Lovely!
