Bvdiman, Your idea is interesting. Stage3 for all. And you are right Gryphon requires two PCs. Toga
I am getting two Hyperion to try tomorrow. I don't know what is Hyperion. Last edited by TOGA; 11-30-2013 at 01:32 AM. |

I have tried Cardas GR, shunyata Ztron pythons -very good cables, and now I use Synergistic research C.T S series-more detailed, airy and controlled bass. My speakers are Wilson's.

Anybody here has experience with the PS-1210 Accuphase conditioner. Leaving the number of outlets aside, how does it compare to the newer PS-1220?
Thanks, Paul |

I've just bought a PS-1220 and I am currently burning it in. The first impressions are very very positive. Not only it improves all aspects of the music, but it is also capable to provide juice for all my audio components (including the subwoofers of my UNOs). During my typical listening sessions the total load is a bit more than 400 VA, while if I crank the music really loud the needle goes somewhere between 700 and 800 VA. I'll report back once the unit is burned in.

HUGE Congrats!! Can its voltage-out be adjusted/user adjustable, or only as per specification i.e.110v/230v? Hope to hear more of your impressions once it's run in a bit. |

The smileys here on AA are very suggestive and funny. You seem very enthusiastic about my purchase bvdiman. Thanks!
Regarding your question about the voltage, my unit is an original 230V unit and it does not a have button that will allow one to change the voltage to 100 or 110 volts. Sound-wise there are two characteristics that really stand out so far: 1) The sound stage and stereo image (of my system without the DG-48) have been improved significantly after the addition of the PS-1220. To give you an idea, I’ll say that when it comes to stereo image and soundstage, the PS-1220 provides at least 40% of the performance of the DG-38 and/or DG-48 voicing equalisers which do absolute wonders in this regard. (Of course this is a very qualitative estimate, I can not measure this.) 2) My system sounds quite a bit louder when it is connected to the PS-1220 unit. Last edited by nvp; 03-30-2014 at 10:32 PM. |

Seems Accuphase PS are pre-set. What I meant was with PS Audio PP, one can fine-tune/adjust its Voltage out (reduce/add Volt by Volt) to best effect with equipments. *Eg. I have the 230V P10 unit ~ my amps are 220V, and found it sounding best (sweet spot) in my system having the re-generator set outputting 226V. |
