I for one don't really care if the Mbappé's are from Cameroonian descent or whatever. He was born in Bondy, is French in every sense of the term the Dad even runs a small football academy for the community of Bondy.

Also if you thought about it, Italy won a WC or two with Argentinian/Uruguayan players who naturalised etc. But as Jerome so well pointed out, in current, modern times all this reasoning bears no more meaning as society as a whole has evolved.
