I read Ted's review again this morning, and decided it was worth a bump for those that may not have read it. There is no doubt in my mind to the effectiveness of the Symposium Rollerblock Jr.'s under my components. I recently added three more sets of RBJ's under the C1000C/T and the MCD1100 in the studio two channel system. What was already an amazing sonic presentation gained even greater focus and realism.

If you have taken all the right steps to assemble a fine audio system, but have not addressed isolation of the source components, you are leaving a higher performance level just laying on the table. I highly recommend the Symposium Rollerblock Jr.'s under your preamp and source components.

I agree with you 100%. I've taken it a step further and replaced all the HDSE and rollerblock 2+ with superballs that was a major jump especially under the dac and mini. The first set was placed under the dac and I was sold.

Doug.......Absolutely. I'm glad you bumped the thread.

I am still using Rollerblock Jr's under my preamps and sources in the living room system and in the studio system. I remember reading Howard's (hkval) comments as to how they improved his system and that's what sparked my interest. When I put my first three sets of Rollerblock Jr's under my preamp, and source components in the living room system I was instantly startled with the improved focus of instruments and the greater clarity and texture to every instrument's tone. The same was true with voices. It was as though I had cleaned my window. Quite impressive. That is exactly why the Rollerblock Jr's are still in place on both of my sound systems.

Guys, thanks for bumping this thread, and thanks Ted for the original review, I missed this before. I'm just completing my upgrade to Shunyata Ztron power snakes and have been reading about and debating Rollerblocks for some time as a next step. I've used a Symposium Segue ISO platform and Svelte Shelf under turntables with very good results but have yet to move to component isolation beyond the rack, this discussion will help. The variety of isolation products can be bewildering and it's good to hear what AA'ers whose opinions I respect are using successfully.

Tony.......The Rollerblock Jr's under your preamplifier and source components provide a very nice sonic improvement for a relatively small cost. The Rollerblock Jr performance to price ratio is very good.

I must agree with Dan. I believe the biggest bang for the buck is the Rollerblock Jr +. They made such a huge improvement when I installed them I couldn't believe what I was hearing at first. I thought my brain was playing tricks on me. It was confirmed beyond a doubt however, when after leaving them in for a month, I took them out. WOW that's when I really knew what a difference they made. The Rollerblock 2+ under my cd players are yet to be installed, so I'll find out in February how they may differ from the Jr's. Its a matter of setting aside the time to completely redo my setup. I will be using the Symposium Jr's under my Cambridge 650C which I have dedicated to my PS Audio GCHA and Schiit Valhalla amplifiers for headphone listening. I am excited to hear what they will do in that application. I think that it's a simple case of "ignorance is bliss" when it comes to the Rollerblock and Platforms that Symposium makes. I was happy with my Vibrapods under my cdp's and Bryston.(which I still think, for the $ are the best tweak value in audio) Then I added the Jr's and next the Segue and Isis platforms. Each time there was a noticeable improvement, virtually across the board. And you know, I have a very modest system compared to the majority of folks that frequent this wonderful resource. Thank you one and all for your participation. Shoot, I hadn't intended to write a short story.
Cheerio;
Doug

I'm not sure if the current generation of Stillpoints were around when this thread started, but they (especially the ultra expensive Ultra 5) seem to have become the reference isolation/decoupling products. How do you suppose the Rollerblocks compare sonically to the various Stillpoints offerings?

At that price point, to compare apples to apples; HRS Nimbus Couplers.
