Paul,
This alone is a testimony to Shindo's art in audio design : each unit is really made by ear, using this PC, so the unit cannot really perform better with anything else.
There is no upgrade to Shindo per se and this is very rare.
My Snappers and my Manley 300B sound better to me with these grey cords than with others so my guess though is that those cables are very very good indeed.

Sometimes less is more, don't mess with a well designed and engineered piece of art like Shindo.

Hello my friend...thank you for asking, all is well. I'm glad you're enjoying your trip to the 'green side'. It's about the music...

Re: power cables - can anyone recommend a reasonably priced audio outlet to pair w/ Shindo gear? I live in a NYC rental right now, so I want something I can put in myself and either not worry about leaving or take out pretty easily.

He changed the cable long ago.
The copper was very pure (dark red compard to other cables), so maybe thats the reason why this cable sounded better than the later generic ones.
What type/brand IEC and plug did these have?

Did Shindo ever use the black two conductor 16-2 Type SJ-E3462-J wire?

My friend got a long "Shindo" power cord with that cabling, and cut me off a 1.2m chunk. It has that dark red/orange wire and I was looking to add appropriate connectors.

Yes, In fact it did make a difference one way vs the other. I must assume he does not use a polarized plug just in case your house wiring is incorrect.

Hi guys,
I am buying a Mr. T or 2 and since I do not like adapters, do you know where I could find this grey Hirakawa power cord with the US 2 prongs ? I currently have the version with the euro Schuko plugs and use them with adapters in the Mr. T.
I searched Hirakawa on the web and found various PC's but not that damn grey one used by Shindo !

Oh really ? I will check that.
The ones I have with the Schuko euro plugs, (4) are all made by Hirakawa.
So the US ones are made by Yukita ? I will try to find those.
