Any suggestions Jim?

I am looking for a high performance rack ( if there is such a thing) that looks like furniture and not something out of 2001 Space Odyssey. So the less metal and bling bling the better. Glass shelves are a no no for me.

Yes I did. Was concerned the Pagode Edition was a bit too shiny but in maple it could be an option. Emperor rack just looked weird like a park bench or something

Howie..here's another option. I really like the looks of these racks. Same company that does all the speaker enclosures for Devore Fidelity. The site has reviews from Stereophile (Art Dudley) and Enjoythemusic.com. Great quality but not as much in the way of active resonance control. Here you go: box furniture co

Agreed. I also like the look of Pagode Edition better than the Emperor.

Cyril,

I saw these as well. They look like very nicely made racks. Without any attempt at resonance control, I could make some nice stuff over here very cheaply but I can't replicate the control (or snake oil) locally hence my look at some well established brands.

Here's a photo of my local one. Weighs about 150 Lbs together

Howie...understood. Yours is a very nice looking equipment stand as well . Good luck with choosing from your list of contenders.
