Ah, thanks for the clarification, Charles.

I coulda used one of those back in the early 2000s when a transformer on the telephone pole just outside my front door blew up and took out my Mac computer. It not only blew up the surge protector the Mac was plugged into (and I mean literally blew up; you could the parts rattling around inside) but it arced across and blew up the Mac's power supply, too. There was literally smoke coming out the back of my Mac.

I can't say I am surprised given the improvements that the new Shunyata products I've added to my system this last year have brought,; the biggest upgrades I've made in my system for the last decade was from adding these fine products. And...the improvements are across the board and the musical spectrum, as you say. I think they have brought more and most importantly, a better quality of musicial experience than if I upgraded amplification components. The best components in the world can only amplify what they are given as either power or source, and if there's RFI, EMI, impulse noise, common mode noise, clock phase noise, grunge, hash, grittiness, leakage currents, vibration components etc., coming from the power and signal distribution system, those better preamps and amps are only going to be amplifying....noise.

Please keep us posted as you get more time and experience with the Omega QR.
Nicely put - the quality of the power seems to be the biggest element holding back current components

In my experience I would unequivocally state its the biggest improvement in any of the shunyata power cables over the last 5 years, and I've tried them all. The omega is on another level and markedly better compared to every other Shunyata power cord - doesn't matter what its plugged into. It's dramatically better on my Berkeley reference DAC, aurender w20se, and woo audio amp. The result is certainly on the component level upgrade. There's across the board improvement - more articulated and powerful bass, increased resolution from low to high, extended highs without any harshness, and full and detailed mids. The music is beautiful across the board. In addition, it has made a marked improvement in the noise level on a computer I've been using to write video files. The files are coming out with virtually no visible noise level compared to before. I've also noted a marked improvement in audio across the board even when the omega isn't plugged into anything in the audio chain just my video transfer computer which is plugged into my Triton where the audio components are plugged in. It must be enhancing the Triton's capabilities somehow?
I'm just amazed wow wow what an accomplishment by Caelin!
Great post and agree the Omega is a first of its kind amazing pc. Look for my feedback here as well

After a few more days of listening and having the Omega settle in, it's remarkable properties continue to amaze. In my experience this one cable has provided the largest improvement of any single item or upgrade I have ever made (including amps, dacs, etc). It has been truly transformational in my system, elevating the performance to a level I had not imagined was possible - so beautiful, so true to life and so close to exactly how actual performances of live musicians sound. Even poorly recorded albums are listenable, musical, enjoyable. How and why it is having this effect is beyond me. I don't know if it everyone will experience this magnificent improvement? But for me it is a revelation moment and my jaw is on the floor! How in the world can such a dramatic change be possible? Very highly recommended...

Wonderful, thanks for the update. I think the wonderful qualities you are hearing are due in part at least, to the QR functionality of the Omega PCs.

Congrats sounds like a winner! Are you just using the one cable and which is it most effective with?

Currently I'm running the omega on my headphone amp, but haven't settled where to leave it permanently. I was anticipating given the prior discussion that perhaps this cable was designed with high power amps in mind and therefore may not be ideal in my situation where I'm running low power digital into a low power headphone amp. I was more than pleasantly surprised that the performance improvement doesn't depend on current draw at all. I've observed substantial benefits on all my equipment.
