KEF selling reference line on amazon!

When I was considering the KEF Reference line of speakers I too discovered their presence on Amazon. It seems though that if you make the purchase through Amazon they will contact you and locate a dealer in your area to do the actual delivery and setup. Sounds like a good deal for the dealer. It's so easy to make impulse purchases on Amazon. I'd be curious to know how many of KEF's high end speakers are sold this way...

I'm glad they specified that the price is for the pair, because these are obviously too pedestrian for my ears at that cost. I'll be spending at least $40k per speaker, and I expect them to look at least twice as pretentious.

Gotta love the bogus amazon reviews. There’s an entire site dedicated to them. I love my reference 5s.

My local Best Buy / Magnolia expects to have a number of KEF speakers on their floor within the next two weeks. They sold off all of their Sonus Faber speakers to make room.

I seriously tempted to buy a pair of the LS50 wireless speakers for my main floor. My wife killed the idea of a 2nd system, and doesn't want to have furniture to house all the gear. I heard a set of the LS50s at my local hi-fi shop about a week ago and was blown away. $2200 for the pair is extremely reasonable too.

I don't have any experience in this area, but my guess is he will likely need to purchase a port reducer for those amorous listening sessions. .
