Default MCD arrived today

MCD 1000 arrived today..Wow what a cd transport. Installed today with MDA I noticed more detail and stronger bass then with MCD 201. I want to say thanks to Serge for selling me his MCD. Looks and plays like new.

Enjoy the MCD1000 George! It's good to know it found a home among one of our members.

You will love it. I was running the 301 as a transport and the difference when I added the MCD was far more than subtle. It is rock-solid and meant to be partnered up with the MDA. You feel as if it is extracting every little detail out of the CD and you will never tire of it. Best of Luck, sit back, and enjoy the music.

Because to some, the MCD/MDA1000 is the pinnacle of redbook CD playback from McIntosh and is still the current "dream system" combo. Especially when there are other CDPs in the system that can play SACD. The build quality and looks are stunning as is the sonic reward of that combo.

I am among those who lust for the MCD/MDA1000 combo. And I lust badly for it!

I can easily vouch for the MDA1000. I do love the MCD1000 but so rarely actually SPIN a redbook CD anymore...

Wouldn't be a bad trophy add-on though, if I had the spare scratch!

I am the reverse! Just changed "concubines" - MCD/MDA1k to the MCD500.

For sure, this is the "best of BOTH worlds, RedBook & SACD. Perfect!

Think the MCD/MDA2k will be forth coming! Very soon!
