His products play a couple of very important roles in my sound system - not to mention my day to day life.

He took ideas applied them and made them work flawlessly.

He will be missed and probably not replaced.

Unhappy Steve Jobs death

I just got home from work, short time ago and as every day, check Apple sites for news:apple:

Very sad about this news For me not normally feel affected by the death of famous people - and it's because I don't care, it's because they're so far removed from everyday, common life it's like they're merely products in and of themselves. Not so right now; Steve has had a profound impact on my life, apple products has always been special to me as he showed us to " think different"

I just read about his passing. Whether you like Apple or not, there is no denying his vision has brought us substantially closer to living the Jetsons Lifestyle we were promised during the cold war than perhaps any other single individual. His vision and creativity were always oriented towards making our lives better in a particular arena of experience, the fact that we communicate it on this type of forum is part of Steve's vision. I honor Steve as an exceptional human being, and most importantly a loving family man.

RIP Steve.

Very sad day for the tech world. I had a NeXT in the early 90's and have been impressed by his influence over the years. Apple II, Pixar, iPod, iPhone, iPad, etc.

Steve Jobs was a visionary 3 times over: first with Apple then with Pixar and once again with Apple version 2.0. He made sure to build a team around him that will continue his legacy of innovation.

RIP Steve.
