Discovered a new audio pet peeve the other day, dirty remote controls. I try to keep my gear and remotes as clean as possible. I don't handle them while eating "finger food", after woodworking or working on the car until I'm all cleaned up. To each their own I guess, but to sell and ship out a piece of gear that has dried food particles on it is just plain rude and gross.

Mike.......That's almost unforgivable. Like you, I take great care of my components, remotes and accessories. My intent is to keep everything in absolute like new condition. I like my systems to look as good as they sound. When and if the time comes to sell a piece of equipment, I am able to offer a pristine component for sale to a fortunate new owner. I can't imagine handling my remote control with food on my hands. That's such an ugly thought, and an even worse deed.
