Jeff.......I have read some comments on the magnetic levitation devices. The levitation effect of floating in air would be lost if the two pole pieces touch in any way. What keeps the pole piece that touches the bottom of the component from rubbing or touching the ring guide on the opposing pole piece that sits on the shelf?

Hi Dan,

The propper way of setting the gear onto the devise is place the devises on your stand and then set the component onto the devises, this will help insure that there is min contact between the ring guide and pole peice. Both peices have a gear like peice that helps keep them lined up and with the min amount of contact.

There is both lateral and vertical movement allowed but more so in the vertical motion and the amount of area in contact at the sides are minute and according to the manufacture as long as you have the ability to move in the lateral plane freely without binding it becomes almost no concern. The coupling effect with the sides are very small and the manufacture has designed it with the least negative effect with in the sides.

In a perfect world you may be correct but if you look at price points vs how it works you may be spending 10 times the money to acheive that last few percent! and do we really know if it is sonically better? on paper yes but in the real world who knows if it would be a sonic bennifit.

My short time with them has been positive.......I find just about every roller bearing devise, cones, pucks, symposium, Cera pucks, etc. tend to kill the lower mids and upper bass directing you to notice the upper detail more so, with the magnetic devises in place they do not do this what so ever. I find each range to have better focus and things seem to be more in balance from top to bottom. They just don't add or subtract in a negative way compared to some of the other products I have tried.

If you look at all the TT manufactures many of them use magnetic bearings, tonearms and feet to great effect, they do still have a small amount of side to side contact but it is small. Anyways I just wanted to share the new product.......Happy Listening

Jeff.......Thank you for responding. Are there different strengths to accomadate differing weights?

Dan......yes there are four different sizes and I listed them in the selling section.

You can use three or four devises per component and many are buying three sets of four and making four sets of three......so far I'm finding out that it doesn't matter if you use three or four devises as long as you meet the weight requiremnts you are good to go. Also if you have a component that is heavy on one side you can mix and match or add more than four if you like just as long your with in the weight specified for the model your using.
