I voted for SiMS.

To me it will always be the "E".

I still have the Olive 04 and the E in the main system and I can A/B simply by pushing the input button on the Esoteric. I upgraded my preamp to the Pass XP-30 and the combination of the E, Pass, K03 is way, way, way beyond my expectations.

Are you staying within the media server market only? I always thought you were using the silent PC route to sell more broadly. If only the music server market, then it narrows the choices and allows more specificity.

Here are my two suggestions. Both are just rearranging words already suggested, but in a different order.

SAMP = Silent Audio Media Player

SIGMA = Silence Is Golden Media Audio

If you intend to refer to the acronym, I prefer SIGMA. If not, I prefer Silent Audio Media Player.

Good luck! I hope you find the perfect name. I will continue to think about this and suggest something else if I can. I can easily obsess about things like this.

I am liking the SIGMA name. I think Glenn has something with Silence Is Golden Media Audio.

I would go with Silencio.

But more importantly, get it into a case that looks like an audio component, not a computer. That is what people mean when they say they don't want a computer in their system. Bryson did an excellent job with their BDP (Linux computer) file players. They look great in the rack with the rest of the gear. Like they belong there.

I fully agree, it's not the idea that there isn't a computer running in every component it's the fact that yours still looks like a computer. I think it would be a great idea if you got ahold of Matt with Aluminati audio. He has done quite a few audio cases. I would bet that many of the guys would love to have a eSilent running in a Matt custom.

Simple and Clean. But Emile deserves the capital E.
I would write it EMS.
Only possible problem, EMS is a registered brand.
