Larry.......my range was "+" or "-" 30% off of msrp. Mine was below $3500. I hope that helps. As you may know,Olive is also offering bidding on their 03 and 04 models.

Starting bid for the 03 is $499........for the 04...$1249. I can't seem to paste the link for these items.

Olive makes a great server.

The Olive 6, which is fully balanced, sounds much better than the 4 if you use their internal dacs. It's in a complete other league.
The unit is at the level, if not better, of a MDA1000.
Terrific sound.
If your unit functions fine, you will be very, very happy.
Both of mine were not able to find my wifi network, while finding all the networks of my neighbours ! ( even my coffe machine finds my network ! ).
Among other problems.
I think that I got 2 antisemitic units

Too good to be true??

If you're reading this....you know that I won via an auction an 06 from Olive. I've had an issue with Fedex with 2 failed delivery attempts at a time when they usually show up late afternoon. They showed up instead at noon when no one is available to accept and sign for the package. I finally had to arrange a pick up at a local Fedex office.

That's not the end of it....I wrote to Olive after the second failed attempt and voiced my displeasure with their shipping policy. The thing is, it took two emails to Olive to get a response....if I didn't send that second one,who knows if they would have replied at all. I sent them another email Friday before noon (Hawaii time) in response and it looks like I won't be hearing from them until next year if at that. Am I making too much of this? ....I don't know.

After all this fiasco, I'm thinking of just returning this unit...which is still unopened just sitting in my living room. This has left a very sour taste in my mouth and I'm done with Fedex and particularly Olive. Olive's customer service and support is very lacking and I will not accept that from all the positive rave reviews they had. I know some of you Olive owners have had great service from them but this is totally unacceptable. Sorry I couldn't call them directly at the time or I would have. The only question I asked them was and was completely ignored by them..."Please let me know the best way to return this unit with full credit....."

The way it has played out and I keep this unit.....I will likely have problems with it.

Congrats on the WIN!....

However, don't return it... sell it.. it's the least that Olive owes you... I'm sure it would be snapped up in a Jiffy!...

I don't like Fed Ex much either... it is frustrating to deal with them at the best of times.. let alone when something goes wrong...

You should not blame Olive for a poor Fedex service + during these times of holidays, most companies are with reduced people on duty. I believe that a shipping problem is not a priority for them.
I got a good service from them when I had my problems with the Olive 6.
Don't be superstitious. Open your package and enjoy the great sound of this unit. Trust me. You're going to be amazed. If the unit does not play well, you have 30 days to send it back and ask for your refund. What's the point of not trying it ?
