Default Symposium Acoustics HDSE RollerBlock Jr.'s

Symposium Acoustics HDSE RollerBlock Jr.'s

Rollerblock Jr. HDSE is a special edition of Rollerblock Jr. for use under heavy loads such as loudspeakers or in critical applications requiring best performance at a modest price. The legend HDSE on the block's interior side identifies and differentiates this version from standard Rollerblock Jr. and stands for "Heavy Duty Special Edition." Made from top-grade 7075 aircraft aluminum, HDSE is considerably harder than standard Rollerblock Jr. and in addition has been coated with a harder-than-steel "Hard Coat" anodizing to eliminate or minimize "wear" in the cup from prolonged bearing contact.

Standard issue Rollerblock Jr. is made with aircraft grade 6061 aluminum. While 6061 is also a premium grade of aluminum, 7075 is several grades better. Combined with its Hard Coat anodizing, HDSE delivers improved sonic performance due to superior bearing surfaces, faster transmission speed, and improved coupling to support structures and components. As a side benefit, cosmetic wear, commonly seen at the cup bottom with standard RBJR, is generally not seen with HDSE, even with heavy loads.

The 1/4-20 threaded hole machined at center into the reverse of Rollerblock Jr. is also present in HDSE, and can be used for attachment to many fixtures.

The standard ball supplied with HDSE is the Super-Precision, Grade 10 Tungsten Carbide ball, the same ball included with Symposium's well-know Series 2+ Rollerblocks.
Specifications:

Dimensions: 1.9 (47mm) diameter X 0.62" (15.7mm) thick ; Sandwich height (with 1/2" ball): 1.3" (33mm)
Material: 7075 Aircraft grade aluminum
Finish: Hard Coat anodizing with laser-etched legends.
Bearings: Tungsten carbide Grade 10 (Standard)
Tungsten carbide Grade 3 (optional)
