Hi Everyone

I have really strange problem. Last night I format my laptop during installation of Daphile sw. After format the pc The USB port of the DC 37 is not recognized by any pc, Linux or MacBook any more. All other coax and optical plugs are working. Seems like while I formatting pc it's also delete the USB IC firmware or something else from DC 37. Do you have any suggestions how to fix or install the firmware again?

Thanks

Caglar

Help!
I have auralic aries .... dc 37.... e 470.
I always connected it via usb. ( aq diamond usb).
Somewhere i read: usb is bad, coax better for dc 37! Even a deaf can hear.
I thought.... that cannot be true..... but lets try.
So i took my coax digital ( vd hul) out of the drawer... connected it..... and
Wholy mother.. it looks ... more fresh , alive
Any more testers, experiences?

Add a re-clocker and it will make a lot of difference to coax. USB would be 99% affected by leakage currents from the Aries to the DC-37 which superimpose on the USB signal via the USB cable shield. To block this current, either the Intona or iDefender will work, I know the former will work, but haven't tried the latter. A Jplay device is a re-packaged Intona.

Yes the coax input is the best for the DP-720 as well, but needs re-clocking.

HI,

Iam somewhat surprised that only Mr 1and1/2 has experience or opinion on DC 37 on a Accuphase forum on such fundamental question.

But Ok.

It advised to put a Jplay or Intona in between for USB

More people share this opinion?

BR

Gerard

USB is the most negative connection to use.

coax/BNC is much better.
imho

Nothing wrong with a USB connection, it depends on the equipment

Melco to Devialet with USB (with Uptone regen), works great
Aurender N100H to Ayre DX-5 (Totaldac USB cable), works great also.
