Great layout. Nicely thought out.

Was there any thought to adding a half bath so that the only access to a lavatory wasn't through the bedroom?

Thanks! I have, I am thinking about putting one in the small storage room under the stairs, I could place the fixtures in there without breaking up the concrete because there is a drain , a wall mount toilet would work there. The issue is that the main electrical panel is on the wall where you would put the door to the main room, so access would just be through the bar.

The other bathroom is where it is because it was already stubbed.

Howard... A few tips:

Run hard line Ethernet cables to just about every room.
Run Coax to all possible locations for FM antenna (future need)
Run Cat5/6 to multiple locations; and additional runs to/from projector for future needs, and/or control.

Ok, here it is. I labeled it and hope it is clear. Also, I am hoping to put a fiber optic star field in the coffers of the theater ceiling.

Jim, this version also shows a possible half bath under the stairs.

Just ordered the engineered beam from Home Depot today. Will post some pics as I go through the steps to remove the load bearing wall in the future theater room.

I hope I don't mess it up, the wife will be unhappy if I drop the kitchen into the basement!
