Thanks for posting this, it was cool to see inside. I heard they started machining their own parts in house.

they have been machining their own parts in house for at least 4-5 years....
And they are one of the only players who design their own drivers (leveraging manufacturing capacity from partners).
There is no mystery, if you want to reach excellence you need to control all design parameters.

Jazzman, I must have read that they moved the CNC in-house (as in the same office) instead of it being offsite.

Yes, they had before 2 locations: Berkeley and San Jose. They moved everything in a new one in Hayward, much more modern. I visited the new factory, very impressive. And yes, their music room is huge, sounds fantastic.

Slightly Off Topic: I'm hoping to see some Magico speakers this weekend. After all the positive reviews and awards they've been getting, and the factory etc, I'm really excited to see and hear what they can do.

Yeah i'd already read that Factory Tour & agree with Derek, that is SSG's best coverage yet. Very impressive, though like the last tour they focused too much on the lower range S series models. I would have liked to have seen some more coverage of the S5's including their drivers. My 2 cents...
