Yes, it's a beauty.

Here it is, my small system, connected in the upper floor livingroom, as HiFi-system and 2-channel sound for movies. The speaker goes from 60Hz to 25kHz. Therefore this small system sounds like a small one. The bottom end is not powerful, but over all it's a very clear and true sound with very good timing.

The acoustics in this room is very different. The wall is like 1,5 meter, and the roof is round and about 4 meters high. So the room is like half a cylinder. The sweet spot and the speaker placement is hard to optimize. I'm more used to box shaped rooms.

This was tricky...

My old pair of Synergistic Research speaker cables that is really stiff almost moves the speakers around.

In this system, the speakers are the least expensive part and the speaker cables the more expensive part.

...some pictures of The Sonus Faber Fenice.
There are different opinions about there looks. At my home, after some month now, I think they look great. The design gets into your mind and makes more sense after a while. I try to reveal a bit of it here...

The finish is the best there is (I think). Nice mirror effect.

My Idea of how to get a great sound starts with the power plant and how the electric power travels into your house and then gets to your system. On it's way to the system it happens a lot. It's possible to minimize these problems with proper power cables, power conditioning and a clean electric ground.

As power cables I Use Nordost Brahma, Valhalla and soon Valhalla 2.

I started with Monster Power conditioner. But it had some limitations.

IsoTek Evo3 Super Titan made my system great. It made the music more true and alive. I have tried a lot of conditioners and for power amps this is the best I tried.

To the front end. Pre amplification and my digital source, MSB, I use the old Nordost Thor witch I think is better than for example IsoTeks Nova. Nova does not have the openness and sound darker in mys system. Thor makes the beat in the sound more accurate and start and stop is better.

To help the ground to get more clean I use Entreq Ground Boxes. Silver minimus to MSB and Silver Tellus to Pre amp and power amp.
This makes the music even more airy and clear and calm. More relaxed. Especially from midrange and upwards.

Getting back to the Fenice... I quite like them. I think they're beautiful speakers. Then again, I'm a suck for big, massive speakers.

Me too.

"Getting back to the Fenice..."

How do you get these speaker from one place to another? From HiFi-store to home.
We tried it without the big boxes. It certainly save some time. And with professional movers it was a piece of a cake.

Pics from a nervous fotografer...
