I need some Clarification please
Ok so the MC275 is comming out in the 50th anniv model with the new features and all for 6K(?).....so my question is does anyone know if Mcintosh will continue making the current MC275 or will it be history?.....

Michael... Somebody posted somewhere here on AA that after the Gold version sells out that a Non-gold version would be the current MC275. With a MSRP of $500.00 less than the Gold. I don't know how he knows this.

Hmmmmm.....ok thanks man.................some of the new features are indeed Ùpgrades` on the new MC275....the green LED im not a big fan of,but the other improvements are nice indeed, but the $4500 price is excellent on a current MC275........instead of 6K-6.5K on a 50th anniv |

Get the MK-V if you need all that fancy gold and LEDs.

"Here's what I have been told about this amp - it will have improved circuitry and performance from the regular 275 of today - in addition to the new gold regalia, etc...The anniversary edition will be $6500. Once they begin production of these in December, the regular 275 as you now know it will cease, and they will produce 275 of the anniversary editions. When that is done in a few months, the new regular 275 will be the same new circuit as the anniversary edition, but without the special badging. The new 275 going forward from that point on will be $6000." |

..what amounts to a 33% price increase for "improved circuitry" (whatever that means)...seems like quite a deal to me

The MC275 Mk-V as-is is already worth $6k in my opinion. With the new features and sans the gold/led bling, it is a very good value.
I'd be willing to pay MORE to NOT have the 60th badging, gold cover plate and LEDs. |

The performance function LEDs under the small tubes can be controlled with a McIntosh preamp. The 50Th anniversary Limited Edition MC275 is a very special amp that will be much enjoyed.
MC275 MKV in stainless steel is available now and is as great as it has ever been. Thanks,
