Guys would you mind shedding a little light on what this show is and where it will be held? I would like to participate but this is all new to me. October is right in the middle of show season in my industry (general aviation) but it could be this is near where one of my industry shows will be held. I'm committed to get to the Monterrey Jazz Festival this year too in September.

Absolutely! RMAF is an audio show held in Denver during the second weekend in October. If I recall from last year's show, there were over 150 exhibits with systems costing as much as $500k. They also hold audio seminars and some live music. Good place to buy vinyl and CDs. Lastly, fantastic venue to meet audio industry people and AA members.

May want to Google RMAF2012 for more details. I hope you decide to make it.

I've been reading the show reports in Stereophile and other journals for years but have never been to an audio show before. I've been thinking about finally getting to one this year - is RMAF a good one to start with? I also understand there's a a lot of headphone equipment at this one. And is a day and. Half or two enough time to do it justice?

Tony,

This is a good show. I spent 2 full days last year and did not visit all of the rooms. I did visit several rooms more than once. While i wanted to see and listen to new equipment, i was not in a rush to see everything. Depends on what you are looking to achieve.

My wife and I will be there. Actually, she could care less about the actual RMAF, but at least she travels with me. This will be our fourth time at RMAF. We are planning to attend the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta ( The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta - 2012 Daily Event Schedule ) the week prior.
