2020 Olympics - number of teams: Looks like 16 men's teams, 12 women's.

Jerome
It was a tense and marvelous match yesterday. France carried the play especially in the second half. Those few minutes where the last US goal was called back and France then scored shortly after made for a great finish.

Not sure how the seeding was set-up but this should have been a semi or finals match.

I didn't think this match could get better than the last versus France but I felt this one was. Goals called back on VAR, great goals by both sides and two amazing stops by the US goalkeeper. This one had a little of everything including some chippy hits. Women's soccer just the way you want to see it.

Were you supporting the English team?

Missed it all as I toured some of the Anasazi ruins in NM (petroglyphs in ABQ, Chaco Canyon, Salmon ruins, Aztec, Bandelier). 3900 miles into my road-trip. Going to sit in front of my cousin's TV with a good batch of ice-cold beer Sunday a.m. to watch the USA-Netherlands final.

Not really, though I have enjoyed the match highlights here and there from most of the WC matches. Our main goalie was injured before the US game so we had an amateur in goal, and it kinda showed. I have been impressed with the skill levels in this WC, having never watched any football like this before, it's a bit like Cricket in the US for me. But good all the same.

Sunday is going to be a fun day for soccer/football. First we get the Women's World Cup Final and a few hours later the Gold Cup final between the US and Mexican men's teams.
