Default MR85 Tuner Problem

I have a McIntosh MR85 tuner which I bought from Audio Classics in October 2017. It has performed fine up until 3 months ago. The tuner is connected to a Magnum Dynalab ST2 antenna which is located outside the house on the very top of the roof dormer. I get excellent reception on all the FM stations and pull a 9 on the signal strength.

Before anyone says it is a reception problem, please note that I inserted my McIntosh MR88 tuner from my main system into this system with absolutely NO problems. Now the problem: About 50% of the time when I turn the tuner on, the stereo light is not lit. What I have been doing is to change the station to the next preset and back to the original station and the stereo light comes on with no further problem. It doesn't matter which station the tuner is on when powered up.

I can live with it if I have to and I can send it to Audio Classics for repair but I would rather not. Has anyone come across this problem before and if so, how did you take care of it? Do you think I should send it back for repair (shipping plus labor can be expensive and I only paid 825.00 for the tuner), or should I learn to live with it?

Thoughts everyone?

stereo_5.......As long as you have such a simple solution that works I would not worry about it until such time the MR85 requires service for a more serious issue.

In the mean time just relax and.....
