Before the JL F113, I used to have one 18 inch Velodyne sub. After trying out the F113, I decided to keep it and sold the Velodyne. I have no experience with the other subs that you mentioned; I am also a skeptical when it comes to Stillpoints and similar tweaks.

Default Moved my 20.7s 6+ ft from front wall

I just wanted to report that recently I moved my 20.7s away from the front wall from about 48 inches to 75 inches.

The overall improvement in musical presentation was subtle but significant.

For the classical music I listen to (real acoustic instruments, recorded in a real space) I find that now the performance acoustic venue is better reproduced with a greater sense of depth.

Letting the sound emanating from the back of the dipoles to breath with more space definitely allows the 20.7s to better do what they do: exactly reproduce what happened during the recording session.

Do you have any diffusion treatment behind your Maggie's? I found that very helpful with my Betas which are also dipoles. Much more air and depth.

I do not have treatment behind the speakers but I should get it. It was one of the recommendations from the GIK Acoustics guys.

The new GIK Alpha panels would be a great way to start. I used the Vicoustics Waveguide panels but I think they are very similar products so cost and aesthetics might decide.
