David.......I have the BDP-95 and you're right, it is a fine player, but it isn't even on the same playing field as the Esoteric K-03.

It doesn't cost the same either Dan. And the K-03 don't play any Blu-rays and DVDs either.

* The 95 was never designed to compete with the K-03 for CD/SACD sound quality.

The K-03 is the jewel of the crown. I too purchased without seeing or hearing but with ivan's and Dan's recommendations and the write up in absolute sound I purchased sight unseen and ear unheard. This completed my 2 ch system as SACD and yes CD sound amazing. Also Sonos connected to digital coax in with a great cable from Ivan is the biggest surprise. With MOG through the Sonos I have opened the endless world of music to my command with excellent quality. I understand there are K-03's available in the marketplace and if you prefer I suggest you contact Ivan to purchase. I had a great buying experience with Ivan. I stretched big time to purchase this unit but I am well pleased. Jim

My K-03 now has the required 500 hours on it and I find it difficult to turn off - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Howard.......It was your description of the K-03's performance in your system that took me over the top in making a decision to put the Esoteric K-03 into my studio system. It's crazy I know, but I'm considering putting a second K-03 in my living room system. Somebody call the guys with the white coats.
