Most of the better AR receivers were made by a few companies, of which LMT was one of the largest. The other companies, and likely Mossberg is one of them, buy the unfinished receivers from these other folks, stamp their info on them, finish, assemble and sell. Has always been this way with the AR. So much so that some are made in China these days. LMT has spawned so many competitors that they've started building compete rifles.

radio times - that's sad. However, if the nutty politicians in NJ had their way it would be the same here.

Doesn't the Bisley range still exist? Last I had read it is still the home the NRA of the UK and a very active range. Believe it is in Surrey.

This week I passed (very quick) procedure with taking rifle on control in regional expert criminal centre. So I'm still not yet completed with permission certificate. I hope I will finish next week anyhow.

And something else. 2 days ago I got ... driver's licence on hands.

I received first license in 1993, but never had a car, then old license where lost in 2014 during change of appartments.

It appears so. You need a licence to do clay pigeon shooting, they have 300m rifle comp's, with perhaps t sights, and if your a cop handgun also. A licence if you live in London? probably no chance. Mind you they do corporate events as well. Not aimed at the city slicker methinks, more the country. Saw a pic with a Lee Enfield, not sure it's current. They had full auto WW2 back in the distant day, then a mad man went in to a a primary school with an AK about 30 years ago, and the country handed in it's guns, semi's, full auto's and all in response, which was the right thing to do I guess.

Of course if you join the army, work hard on your press up's and join the SAS it's a different story. At least were all in the same boat, which is a comfort.
