I switched to the Magtech from some Odyssey Kismet in Stratos monos and was blown away by the difference. I'm running Magnepan 3.7's. The Magtech doesn't strain at all. I can also attest that it responds to power cords. I was using some cheap Groneberg Quattro Reference Power Cords and tried an Argento Flow Master Reference. The difference was substantial.

I switched to the Magtech for my 20.7s after comparing it to a Mcintosh 452 and 2 601's, the Magtech blew the MC amps away, it was amazing.

As for different power cords, use one that is the appropriate gauge and is made well, all these fancy power cords do is cost you money, unless they are too small for the job they won't have any effect on the sound. If you don't believe me have a chat with Roger, he will explain in detail!

I tried the Argento Flow Master Reference again on my Magtech and couldn't detect a difference. I'm also trying a Cerious Graphene Extreme HC power cable. So far, I tend to agree with Roger: power cords don't seem to do much.
