Has anyone rolled the sovtek 6550 tube in the ref5?
Many possibilities like winged C, Tung Sol to name two. |

audition from where? Just thinking out aloud. I think tube rolling the 6550 could have some major benefits, so thought I would ask.

I may be buying a Ref5 and I was planning on replacing the tubes with NOS tubes if I buy it. I've been wondering if it's worth replacing the tubes in the power stage. Have any of you tested replacing just the power stage tubes to see if it makes a difference?
