Does this suggest that your cat was so bored reading the first magazine(cover face down, we can only guess), that the very prospect of reading the Absolute Sound put him/her into coma mode?
Our kitties are total illiterates. The girl likes TV, though. A friend's little dog HATEs the Geico lizard and goes banannas whenever the dog sees a Geico commercial. What I haven't figured out is that, apparently, you cannot even say the word 'Geico' in the dog's presence without elicting a growl. While I have not witnessed this first hand, I have it on reliable authority. Is it possible that a dog could know that word 'Geico,' spoken in its presence, refers to the cartoon lizard it loathes? (I don't think typical 'dog' words that trigger an associated response, like 'treat,' and 'walk', through conditioned behavior are equivalent to recognizing the word 'Geico.'). Myles, you are a scientist. What's the answer?

---No Stereophile with Michael Fremer's corner?

* Actually yes; that top audio mag is indeed Stereophile's August 2012 latest issue with that back cover page (Vol.35 No.8).
[I know so, I got that issue right here right now in front of me; so your cat and I share some common grounds.]

--> On page 89, we have a review of the darTZeel NHB-458 monoblock amplifier ($144,500/pair) by our very own Michael Fremer.
And of course, it's "easily the finest power amplifier I have ever heard in my listening room", as he put it.
{For Fremer, everything is always the best he ever heard! ...And he's been singing that same tune for many years now!}

That would get the cat too excited with MF and his vinyl piping.

You don't need a scientist for the job, you need a pet therapist

Guess the issue wasn't too spellbinding

Yes.

Dartzeel is priced in Swiss Francs. The exchange rate in effect when your order is accepted is the actual price you pay, so it can vary a little.

---Yes Josh sir, just like Joe said above or more exactly 135,000 Swiss Francs/pair.

Each monoblock weights 154 lbs (70kg).
...1,000 Watts (1,800W peak) into 2 ohms (software limited). ...Very true as even more 'raw deal' was avail from the measurements.
The true limit is your AC current (electric power 'grid' from TRON - Legacy).

Myles...great pic! Love the kitties who love good music and sound. I lost my little furry listening friend 2 weeks ago and the music is not the same.
