Default Review of K-01X

There is a nice review of the K-01X in Positive Feedback by Robert Youman

"Let’s just cut to the chase. The K-01X is the finest digital front end that I have ever auditioned in my listening room. It has me staying up late at night listening to CDs, SACDs and various high resolution files that I have not listened to in years. I have now been reintroduced to most of my digital library. It has been quite a revelation. The Esoteric K-01X SACD/CD/DAC Player is currently my favorite digital front end by a long shot (when utilized with the very best servers for music files). I have talked about the engineering, build quality and feature set—all absolutely magnificent. From a sound perspective, I must reiterate that not only does it check all the audiophile boxes, it also provides that "emotional connection" that is so hard to define and put your arms around. An absolute must"

Not sure if I am allowed to post a link but here it is:

I believe that dealers sell a lot of different pieces. Some they know is better than others, that's life. But I think good dealers who really love this stuff like Ivan know that a few of their pieces are real gems, pieces that are just flat out at the top of their category, that they can recommend unequivocally. These are pieces they really want to sell because they know they will have a happy customer. Reading this site I could always tell that Ivan and others felt that way about the Esoteric disc players, especially the latest iteration especially with the K-01X and K-03X. I am just glad I was able to convince Ivan to sell me one. [emoji6]

As some have stated, when you look in a rack and see an Esoteric K-01X or K-03X, it truly is a Statement piece!
