He sent me a set of PSE mono blocs on the first of March. I have sent him a few emails with no response. Just hoping he is O.K.

Thanks

Traded texts on Monday about a visit later this month. I’m guessing he is on the mend.

How much are you asking and where did you list it? Never mind. I found it.

Default custom orders

Thought I would post some pics of these units because usually we only make one of each and you guys don't get a chance to see them.

PSE stereo with volume control and selector switch with two inputs. used with a hot source.

[IMG][/IMG]

6V6 headphone amp, one input, no selector switch... very cool!

[IMG][/IMG]

807 FireBottle SE with dual input tubes and larger output transformers with two output taps. Almond powder coat...sweeeet!

[IMG][/IMG]

And an interesting preamp for Analog Addict. with an amazing hand made limited edition (less than 10 in the whole world) LRRF (Long Range Radio Frequency) remote volume control...ooooh what a lucky man you are...

[IMG][/IMG]

I'll have more pics next week before they go to get their faceplates designed, then after the powder coat is applied and then some pics of the build...straitwire

Default Don't tamper with the recipe!

I showed up with metal 6F6 RCA's and metal 6L6 Sylvania's but for the most part we used 6F6's in the PSE's and put fresh 45's in Analogs amp (not sure if the fresh ones are pictured) we listened to Alan Parsons Project mostly. We used the prototype GVR preamp (gas voltage regulated LP-3?) and Analogs phono preamp.
To my ears, once Analog put fresh 45's in his amp it tightened up and sounded really smooth, intimate, and warm with good bass response, the PSE mono's were the better bigger deeper all around sound with a smooth sweet sparkle. And my PSE was big sounding with a high soundstage, but I had changed the front end resistor combo to 6SL7 specific (why?) and so it wasn't quite as nice as the other two, then I changed out the front end resistors to 6SN7 specific (what?) and put in a 6SN7, that made a big difference. Also mine was wired Pentode (was) and the PSE mono's are wired Triode and Analogs 45 is Triode....straitwire

Nice photos, easy to see. Thanks for sharing, Straightwire.

If you know, what is the most powerful tube you can run in the monos, and have you tried it?
