Default Breaking in new MC2301's

Just picked up some new MC2301's from AudioClassics. Is it best to just plug the amps in with no load to break in the new tubes or put a CD on continues then to the preamp and then to amps with or without the speakers connected and let it run for hours/days. I may just listen but I don't want to be disappointed with the first sounds out of the amps.

Paul,

First, huge congratulations! You are going to love them.

In my opinion, there is zero chance you will be disappointed by any notes coming from your system powered by the MC2301s from the first minute to the 1,000th day.

Just listen and enjoy.

Craig

I’ve been contemplating selling certain parts of my anatomy to get a pair of these...

Very nice amps, congrats!

All hooked up but most likely broke my back doing it. I couldn't help myself, I started to listen. They sound great right out of the box, hard to believe they will get even better.

I've had mine running since mid February of this year. 600 hrs on stock tubes, broke everything in slowly and rolled GL in both my 2301's and 1100T. Now with around 300 hrs on those tubes. Just pure joy, couldn't image anything better.
Enjoy, take your time. Congrats, they're lifers [emoji106]

Paul.......Fantastic move. The McIntosh MC2301's are in a league of their own. I love my pair. They will be with me through my final day.

Break in is easy. Just turn them on and listen.
